Hello,
I am entrigued to know if you will obtain marks for suggesting the right treatment of transactions however recognising it in the incorrect part of the income statement.
For would you gain any recognition and receive part of the marks if you were to suggest the accounting treatment for a financial asset but instead of saying FVPL you suggested FVOCI?
Many thanks,
Normally…………no.
P&L and OCI are completely different statements. P&L impacts on EPS etc and shows profit, whereas OCI shows other gains.
