Thanks for this free lectures and notes, i have noticed a difference between the SBL syllabus and what is on ACCA website, what is on the website has 8 sections;
A. Leadership,
B. Governance,
C. Strategy,
D. Risk,
E. Technology & Data Analytics,
F. Organization control & Audit,
G. Finance in planning & decision making,
H. Innovation, performance, excellence and change management.
Though strategy, risk and finance seems covered, the rest are either not covered or not well covered, could i be wrong? I just compared the contents on ACCA website with what is here.
And, will there be professional skills lecture and notes uploaded?
Once again, thanks for the free lectures and notes.June 20, 2018 at 4:08 pm #459482No sure what you mean by “I have noticed a difference between the SBL syllabus and what is on ACCA website”.
We believe that we have covered the syllabus adequately in our notes and lectures. Note these are notes, not a study text. The order of the notes and groupings of subjects does not necessarily follow the syllabus order.
There will be no notes or lectures on ‘professional skills’. I don’t thing there is any way these can be separated from questions as, for example, communication, does not stand alone: it depends on what you want to say and to whom.
Doing questions is key to this exam. You will never be asked for a particular theories or frameworks but will have to choose suitable ones and then exercise professional skills in the context of the question. You will have to apply the models and frameworks rather than simply explaining them.
ACCA has published two sample exams; we will be uploading another soon, but it is essential that you buy a practice and revision kit from BPP or Kaplan to provide more practice.
