    Hi,

I was looking for suggestions on how to best plan the exam answers. When I look at ACCA website, unless I didn’t find it, I only find reference to the old format re. 4 hours with 60 minutes of planning and 180 minutes for answering.

How should this approach be adjusted to the new format? The only guidance I found is the webinar on how to earn marks where it says, read the exhibit the first 15 minutes and then jump to questions answering. I was wondering whether you had more advices on how to pragmatically tackle this?

Thank you in advance and kind regards

Not really much more advice. You, of course, should be familiar with the preseen. This means less to read in the exam but you must read that material closely as it contains the requirements and adds new information to the pre-seen.

So, read any generic new information in the exhibits then turn to the first task. You will probably find that it predominately relates to a particular exhibit. Ensure you address the requirements very accurately and take careful note of the professional marks areas as these will give clues to how your answer should be angled. Eg, professional scepticism implies you should probably question some of the data or views presented.

Don’t overrun on questions. Stick to the relevant points but explain things well.
