You are given the following question:

    Receivables at 1 January 20X3: 10,000
    Receivables at 31 December 20X3: 9,000
Total receipts 20X3 ( including cash sales of 5,000): 85,000

What are the sales on credit in 20X3

    I work as:
In the last of year we still have the remainder of receivables 9,000 meaning that we are given 1,000 by the client. but total receipt are 85,000 then it will minus to 1,000 equal to 84,000. The result are 84,000 in sales on credit.
    Is it ok, teacher?

    Total sales are 84,000.

But receipts included cash sales of 5,000. So sales on credit are 79,000
