I have seen your lecture on sales mix variance but I had a problem. I hope you’ll solve it. Thanks 🙂
1) Is it true that the total actual quantity in the actual mix and the total actual quantity in the standard mix would tell us that the total units sold are the same but the standard mix is changed?
2) Is it also true that the total actual quantity in the standard mix and the total budgeted quantity in the standard mix would tell us that the total units produced are different due to loss or wastage in production.
1) is true
2) is not true. It is looking at the total units sold and this depends on the demand by customers, not whether we produced more or less.
