can someone tell me please is there any rules in acca p series to score 50% marks in compulsory question.for e.g. 50 marks complusory in p3 and you must score 25 marks on first question to pass paper.if you score 24 or less then you going to be fail no matter you perform good in optional question..
please guide me about this.and give me a link of this information is this info is available on acca website.

No, you just need to get 50% from the paper, like all other papers

When answering, 50 marks are from Q1, which is compulsaory, you can pick your other 50 marks from 2 out of 3 questions, so there are 4 questions in total, Q1 is 50 marks, Q2-4 are 25 each, you choose 2 from the 3

Of course, its up to you whether you wish to answer any of it, but it kind of cuts down your chance of passing if you dont

No, the only difference is, of the 50 marks available in the first question, ever so many (say 5 marks) will be “Professional” marks. In other words, you might get the answer fully correct, but if you havent answered it “professionally” enough you will not be awarded up to five marks.

Bit of a nuisance if you fail with 49% !!

    Best of luck
