Rounding off

In the exam, if the question does not say whether to give the answer by rounding off or writing in decimals what should we do?

It will be made clear in the question (or in the choice of answers) as to whether to show to the nearest $ or to the nearest cent. In most cases we do things to the nearest $ in the exam.
