    Hello sir ,

I dont know if it is silly of me to be panicking for this . ..

I tried the CBE specimen paper today on the acca website , i seem to be getting the answers correct however due to the rounding differences, specially when it is to be rounded to 2 decimal points i seem to be getting the incorrect answer( either +/-.01 or .02) …as i understand, the first sections A and B are auto marked…would i lose marks if i get them incorrect this way although the answer itself is correct ?

I also tried the section C questions on the NPV question, again i seem to be making rounding differences and since the numbers are in millions the operating costs/net cash flows are all out by a bit ….Would they overlook this as long as the answers are correct?

    Thanks,
    Fadeya

In future you must ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum if you want me to answer – this forum is for students to help each other.

In Sections A and B, it depends really on the question. For some questions there is only one correct answer if you are rounding properly, for other questions there can be slightly different answers and the computer marking will allow for this.

In Section C, rounding is irrelevant – the marks are for the workings and not the final answer.
