Is there a rule of thumb when it comes to rounding in the exam? I always seem to be slightly off with my answers. Would you suggest rounding to 2 decimal places throughout the workings, or only at the final answer?

And if an answer is wrong by a rounding error is it marked wrong in the exam?

    There is no rule.

If you are costing on a per unit basis then best is to round to the nearest cent.

You do not lose marks for rounding.
