Sir one small query. Most questions that i work on decision package given to work out minimax regret is display in a table format. I notice the trend that the calculation of the regrets are done vertically and the decision made are done horizontally of those packages. Is that the standard way of doing it. Or there’s a reason. My concern is that I have work other questions that gives the information in words and required me to set up the table and I always made the mistake of setting it up and calculating the regret opposite way the the answer given.
It doesn’t make any difference to the final answer and you will get full marks whichever way round you set it up. (As long as in Section C questions you make sure your workings are clear for the marker, as always.)
