Hi sir, could you explain to me, how,
Decreasing the materiality level could reduce detection risk ?If you reduce materialty from say $10,000 to $5,000, the auditors will be particularly interested in errors of $5,000 or more rather then $10,000. This implies doing more audit tests, so detection risk is reduced.
