I appeared for the exam this sitting where i am sure of almost all mcqs are correct, except one. The question was- What was the P/L CHARGE for THE RIGHT OF USE asset, and i answered ONLY the depreciation charge regarding the ROU asset. However there was also the finance cost related to lease liability,which i did not include. What should have been the answer? Only the depreciation charge of ROU asset or both depreciation charge and finance cost of lease liability. Thanks
I had the same McQ. The charge for PL means both deprecation charge and finance cost..
Well, there was another question like this which only asked P/L charge for the year, there i included all relevant expenses. This question asked about P/L charge for ROU asset, that’s why I am a bit confused.
