can anyone please explain how a reverse acqusition is to be accounted for?? really confused
The same accounting treatments are used for reverse acquisition. However, what should be noted is that irrespective of the % holding of the private company in the quoted company, the private company that acquired the quoted is treated as a subsidiary. I hope this clears your doubts.
