These statements are true or not?
1)Income(interest and dividends) from long-term investments is capital income.
2)Income(interest and dividends) from short-term investments is revenue income.
3)Income from sale of long-term investments is capital income.
This is tricky because different people define capital income in different ways. For some people capital income is income from wealth (in which case what you have written is true for all three), other people define it as being income from the sale of capital assets (in which case only 3 is true).
However for Paper F3 it is not relevant anyway – all of the above would appear in the SOPL (except that for 3 it is the profit on sale that appears).
