the excess depreciation charged due to the revaluation of assets.. always recorded as debiting the revaluation surplus and crediting the retained earning .. or . does it depend on the question ..

The company is allowed to do it, but doesn’t have to do it.
In the exam normally do it (unless the question says otherwise).
