Hi, I have caught on 7 year rule, I failed two option papers P7 and P6 since 2010, when I give birth to my two beautiful boys. Life since then is very busy and I have full time job :-(.
I failed P7 in december 2010 for 48 marks, I know I still feel like crying after only 3 months after the birth of my first son. I then had another child two years later.
I have tried couple of times to sit P7 exam, and got even less marks, this maybe due to I lack of time to study as the needs of my young babies and full time job just killing me.
Now ACCA wrote to me and saying I must pass two option paper by september this year (2017), I need your help. I want to entrol P7 for June ( now it is 7th May!) I have not even got the book!
For P7, can I still use my old book? (BPP) or should I need new updated on? Which book is the best? I can buy but I need it very soon. what I should do is most effective way to pass my exam given only short time left, I going to enter the late entry. Hopefully I can get rid of one exam in June and one in september. I don’t want to do P6 as it seems always changing and which paper you would recommend for the next one? I only need thest two paper to complete my qualificaiton.
Please help me. I still have full time job (finance manager) and it is very demanding with financial deadline on 19th May. ANY HELP is highly appericiated!!! thank you.
May 7, 2017 at 4:38 pm #385226Ideally you should get hold of an up-to-date revision kit / exam kit
Until that arrives, start reading endlessly:
through past exam questions and answers
the free course notes (2 hours from start to finish)
the examiner’s reports
the last 10 technical articles
my article on examination technique for P7 (on the P7 home page, towards the bottom)
the similar article “From a marker’s perspective”
Do NOT try to memorise nor learn – just read
And try to do these points above as often as you can
My article, once
From a marker’s perspective, once
Course notes, once every three days
Examiner’s reports, once
Technical articles, twice
Revision kit questions and answers … as many times as you can fit in between now and 22 May
On 22 May, post again for part 2 of the advice on how to pass P7 in June
OK?
