I failed P7 with a 38. After my P7 paper in September, I started to study P4 and I haven’t done it all that well. Right now, I’m terribly depressed and confused, should I go for P7 or P4 in December? or both?

Don’t do both. If you have booked p4 then sit that or if not do p7 while it’s fresh

can you please give me some advice regarding how to prepare for it the second time around. i’m really unsure where to start, i still have my subscription from the online classes i took last time, i’ve passed p1, p2 and p3 from them the first time, but p4 and p7 have so difficult for me and i’m thinking to quit acca altogether. can you please tell me how should i go through past papers? for instance once i finish watching all the lectures how do i start the first past exam? do i read it through or should i write it out like an exam, please help.
how do you go through past papers in general.

All about exam technique if you’ve done all the class and are ok with the standards.

I had preplanned paragraphs for each question which mainly went like:

There is a risk that <assets/liabilities/goodwil/etc> is <over/understated> where the <enter scenario>. The relevant standard on <goodwil/etc> states that …..
The balance is material as it is <#%> of total <assets/liabilities/goodwill/etc>

I did this for basically everything bar the bullet point answers.

It helped me because I didn’t have to think what I was going to say just had to pull the knowledge of standards and insert it.

I also stress that you should at the very least do every q1 and q5 in every past paper as they are certain to come up.

    Good luck
