Ok but will that procedure be relevant in that question( lychee 12/09) because in that the management mentions about redundancies?so if management hasnt disclosed the information to the Employees the provision would be inappropriate isnt it?
If the decision is not yet in the public domain, then management could change their minds at any time before the decision is announced
Once it has been announced then, even though there may be no contracts yet signed nor closure steps yet taken, the decision will have raised in the minds of those affected the valid expectation that the decision will be carried out and, in that situation, a provision would be appropriate
OK?
