Hi,
Is there another name for the Resource Analysis please? I am trying to look it up for some more information but I cannot seem to find it under this name.
Thanks
There isn’t another name. The only models or theory you need are as follows:
1 The ‘Ms Model’. Not so much a model, more of a list of resource types to help you remember: money, men and women, manufacturing/machinery, marketing, markets, management, methods (knowhow), make (brand), MIS (IT), material.
2 Value chain, which can help you analyse how a firm uses its activities to add value. Essentially how it uses its resources.
3 Capabilities = Resources + competences. NB unique resources and critical competences can provide competitive advantage.
4 Resource-based v Position-based strategies.
All of this is further explained in the lectures and notes.
Thank you very much really helpful 🙂
