Hi,
I am confused with understanding the difference between domiciled and resident.
If someone is UK resident, I believe that means the person have UK passport. Am I correct?
But what does it mean if someone is UK resident but not UK domiciled? What does ‘being domiciled while non UK resident’ mean?
Residence has nothing to do with holding a passport! It is very specifically defined and this is found in the OT notes,
A definition of domicile is excluded from the syllabus!
Therefore you just need to learn the rules that determine whether an individual is UK resident
