HI buddies, I am re-submitting RAP on same topic but with different organization. Do I need to give re-submission statement. thanks for you input
BBNovember 12, 2012 at 1:14 pm #107089The acca website has a link relating to the resubmission of the degree project:
https://www.accaglobal.com/en/student/qualification-resources/bsc/rap-dates/resubmission.html
In the Bsc resubmission statement doc attachment on that page it says:
You MUST include this form with your resubmitted project unless you have changed you topic/organisation – Please file at the front of your Research and Analysis Project.
It’s dated 2010 but assume it’s still valid or I would have thought ACCA would remove it. By the sounds of it, because you’re resubmitting a new organisation, you don’t need to do that statement. But I’d check with them to be honest!
Good luck.
November 12, 2012 at 1:39 pm #107090thanks kitcat, I have asked them about this at their e-mail address, I also feel I dont have to resubmit this as project would be considered as new attempt and would every section would be marked from scratch.
thanksNovember 12, 2012 at 2:17 pm #107091for the information of every one: I got the official reply that re-sub statement not required when topic/organization is changed.

According to bassaniobroke, if i change topic or topic organization, our project is not called resubmission. we need to do all things like 1st attempt including SLS and presentation?
November 22, 2012 at 2:49 pm #107097When changed topic or organization resub statement not required but to satisfy software needs at site you need to just write in resub statement that : I am not required to write resub stmt as I have changed my topic/org
April 5, 2013 at 4:27 pm #121567Hi ali 1
Yes, I received this official reply from OB that if you change company or topic or both, your project is treated as the new fresh attempt and in this case you do not need to submit re-sub statement. The logic I understand is that: when you are improving the old project then you have to explain how you brought improvements but when submitting new you have to write nothing just write in statement that you have selected new company therefore this statement is not required and upload this ms word file because the software at website needs this file to process further. I suggest you write an e-mail to university and get reply from them for your satisfaction and keep this in your record so that you have peace of mind. This is very important the issue. OB staff is very eager to answer our questions.
best regards
remember me in your prayers. Passing of rap is pure dependent on which marker’s hand you fall into. In my opinion there are three types of projects.
1. are so bad on OB requirement that every marker would fail them
2. are so good that no one can fail them. because they have fulfilled all requirements.
3. are the one in which markers have discretion to Pass or fail because they are with minor flows and its on the nature of marker whether they pass or fail. here comes act of god or luck what ever you say or those who are not religious would say mathematical probability of passing or failing. Few years back I went for driving license and the guy failed me right there and then. A week later I again went for test but this time 25 KM away from the city and a kind heart aged person ignored my minor flows because he thought he himself could make these flows and cleared me. So we see several discussion on this forum in which one says that he failed with many models and other says that he passed with many models. kitkat says that he/she failed because of font size in presentation?
best regards
BBApril 15, 2021 at 3:41 pm #617761Do i have to give OBU feedback and then state my comments line by line. If it so then I am afraid then it will cross 500 word limit. Please suggest me how to write the resubmission statement with in 500 word limit.
April 16, 2021 at 4:15 pm #617887The resubmission statement was introduced because markers were concerned that students did not always address the feedback and why they had failed. If fact the 500 words was to make the student consider it adequately
Regarding your question about the feedback. No you don’t have to include it but I think it is a good idea. With my resubmitting students I include this in a matrix format and also the assessment criteria for C grade [this is to remind the marker that the student only needs to achieve a minimum pass].
In the final column the student sets out what they have done to deal with the feedback. [Initially I prepare this for my students as ‘What needs to be done’ as I think this is a very effective way for them to understand our resubmission joint ‘action plan’ and then they review these points as they go along as a sort of check list]. At the end students then turn this into ‘What I have done’ on the statement before they submit it.
Don’t therefore worry about exceeding 500 words overall – I have no idea how many many words my students’ statements contain but as you cannot be failed on a resubmission statement – who cares??
Good luck with your resubmission BTW
