Hello dear tutor
Is it correct to say:
1-If there is a material inconsistency between FSs and other information and evidence shows that other info is incorrect and management donot amend it….should we mention to this in other matter paragraph?
2-if there is a material misstatement of fact and managers refuse to amend other info…should we mention this in other matter paragraph?(+inforn those charged with governance)….
in dec 2010-Q2ci the examiner said auditors should inform those charged with governance(and didnt say anything about other matter paragraph)….
Thank you
1 – yes
2 – yes
Material inconsistencies and material misstatements should both be referenced in ‘Other matters’ and should both be brought to the attention of those charged with governance
Thank you
You’re welcome
