Reporting

Internal audit reports could be on almost anything that IA was asked to do, so its difficult to think of a standard report. However, if it were to come up I should think its most likely to ask IA about their assessment of internal controls. I can't imagine that their reports in that instance wold look much different from a letter of weakness (management letter) sent to the company by the external auditors.
