Hi
I am reapeting f9 in September and am trying to come up with a study plan.
Unfortunatly I did not get a grasp of the subject last term and I am wondering how best to approach the repeat.
Therefore I am considering starting from scratch and watching all your videos as they seam very helpful. Can you tell me how many hours of lectures are there to cover the coarse?
Everybody says that you should study through questions, however I am afraid if I tackle this approach I would be afraid that I would realise to late that yet again I do not have the core understanding of the whole sylabus.
I would appreciate your advice and the details of the number of hours of lectures there are.
Thanks

July 24, 2016 at 8:08 am #328579I do not know who ‘everybody’ is, but they are wrong to suggest that you can simply study through questions! These are professional exams (equivalent to UK university level), and although question practice is absolutely vital, there is no point in practicing questions without studying the topics first.
Our lectures cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. You should also buy a current edition of a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and work through every question in the kit after having watched the lectures.
I cannot say how many hours of lectures there are – I would guess that it is in the region of 30 hours. In addition there are lectures working through several recent past exams.
You should be aiming to spend at the very least an average of one or two hours a day studying.
I suggest that you download our free study guide (linked from the main F9 page) which has links to all the lectures, and also suggests the best past exam questions to attempt (although the more questions you attempt the better).
I assume you are aware that the format of the exam is changing as from September, although that does not affect what you need to learn.
