Dear tutor,
Is 10% wear and tear allowable deduction when using ordinary calculation (no election of rent a room relief) when renting a furnished room?

Yes, the 10% W+T allowance is deducted in deriving the normal assessment when renting out a room or rooms in the taxpayer’s own residence.
