Hi @slawlor92, yes mouse mat was definitely not permitted. I just don’t remember where I picked up this information as it is only implied in the work area set up instructions (Google ”
Remote session CBE: Your work area on exam day”, I’m not sure why I’m unable to paste the link here). It might have been discussed in one of the CBE exam preparation webinars.
@Amaniabuzaid personally I think it’s way more convenient and easy than turning around with your laptop. During the checking process the proctor asked me to retake a picture of my ID 2 or 3 times and to take another close-up picture of my desk. I did it fast and without any difficulties with my phone. I imagine getting the right focus and setting with my laptop integrated camera would have been trickier.
I had a word processor in a word processor which I could not remove for Q1. Tried to reconnect with the vigilante however nobody responded. Gave up after 45 min waiting since nobody responded. Tried to do Q3 in the meantime but it was sooooo slow which made me lose even more time.
Is genuine Windows compulsory for remote proctored CBE exam (for APM)?
I tried the “Run system test” in the Lapi with Windows not activated it worked.
Can anyone please guide ?
@jiteshmishra – the first minimum requirement in the systems test has this note:
“Windows Operating system must pass Genuine Windows Validation”
To book an RI exam involves ticking boxes to confirm that minimum requirements – including this stipulation – have been met.
If “on the day” it were apparent that it windows software is not licenced, the Remote Invigilator could end the session and the candidate could not make any claim for refund.
