Due to technical issues (and I would like to point out that these issues were all from ACCA’s side, and not mine, since I had no issues with the remote exams in Dec 2020), I’ve had to withdraw from the AFM exam which I was scheduled to write today.
I waited over AN HOUR AND A HALF int he queue for check-in, and finally, when it was my turn, a message popped up saying it has recalculated the queue and I was put behind 300 other people.
And after waiting another 45 mins, when I finally connected with the greeter, he claimed he could not see me in the monitor even though I could see myself clearly the entire time.
He then called me on my phone and asked me to fix my internet issues, of which, there were none – my internet speed is upwards of 50mbps, way in excess of what ACCA mentions is required for the remote CBE – and then he told me to close OnVUE and relaunch the exam.
And so I went back on to MyACCA and tried to relaunch it but it said the check-in time was over!!!???
There is now an option to withdraw. Should i go ahead with that? Will i be able to rebook AFM again sometime soon??
I’m outraged at how poorly ACCA is handling the remote CBE’s. I prepped for months for AFM and to not be able to write due to their negligence is beyond infuriating.
June 11, 2021 at 3:39 pm #624703I am not familiar with the procedures relating the technical issues and rebooking.
However, I see that you have also asked in the General Forum, and our tutor who deals with this forum is familiar with the procedures and should be able to advise you.
