    example 1 from the notes

sir, I am getting the answer if I don’t do units in 100 like 1,4,2,7… so on

    what i took was 100,400,200,700..

and while calculating A, I was getting the negative value I did it first without watching earlier because I have done basic regression in college. but why does it coming negative I checked my calculations also the calculations are correct

is it because the values of cost are in 000. so should I take both values to the true one like cost 40,000;65,000 and units in 100,400,200

It makes no difference whether you use the full number of units or not. The value of ‘a’ will still be positive for this question and you must have made a mistake in your calculations (but I cannot tell you where the mistake is because I do not have your calculations to look at).

I did it trice now I found out it was just a mistake of 0.
I was calculating 0.6785×2800 instead it should be 0.06785.

now I get it sir thank you for helping me out.
