    Hi All,

I received an email a few days ago from the learning provider here in Ireland through which I have sat a couple of ACCA exams.

One of those exams was paper F9, which I sat in March of this year. The email I received this week said that I have achieved first place in Ireland for my result in this exam.

I was a little surprised to receive this email, as my result was 69% in F9, which I didn’t think would be high enough to be anywhere near first in the country. So I’m treating the email with a little bit of scepticism! Part of me is worried that there may have been an error.

The email came from the learning provider, I haven’t received anything from ACCA themselves regarding this. The prizegiving ceremony takes place in the premises of the learning provider I studied with, so part of me thought that this may have been first place just from the students who studied through that learning provider, but the email says “ACCA 1st in Ireland for F9”.

Are there any regional prize winners (from any country!) here who can let me know if their experience with regard to being contacted about their prize was any different to my experience? The award ceremony is this Friday, 14 September

I had contact from acca about 3 days after results but mine wasn’t regional. I’d ring your provider on Monday. I just last week had the email from acca inviting to the celebration event tho

    Hi Jennie,

The new members ceremony I went to also had the awards ceremony you talk about, the people that came to that were formally dressed as photographs were taken as well as meeting representatives.

    Hi Mob94…congratulations!
I received 2 x 1st in Ireland’s which were notified by post from ACCA Ireland, within about 2 weeks of the actual exam results (I wasn’t with any learner provider as I was self studying so it was only the ACCA notification I got). No award ceremony for me either. Enjoy the 1st, great feeling!
