I have googled it numerous times but unable to find any guide about it.

Let say, u created a graph comparing revenue between two companies from 2010-2012, raw data are obtained from the individual company’s annual report, how do you reference this in-text?

An example of what I assume:

    (GRAPH HERE)

    Figure 1: Revenue of X and Y companies from 2010 to 2012 (X company 2009; X company 2010; X company 2011; X company 2012; Y company 2010; Y company 2011; Y company 2012)

Wouldn’t the above example look absurd? How should I correct this?

A big thank you for the reply…

”Key thing to remember that add reference in end of graph by creating graph in excel and writting reference in cell below & then bring it in RAP.”

The problem is how to add reference to the graph. I understand the harvard referencing in the requirement. But how do I ‘harvard reference’ my graph. As stated above, I harvard reference my graph in this way:

(IMAGINE MY EXCEL GRAPH IS HERE)
    Figure 1: Revenue of X and Y companies from 2010 to 2012 (X company 2010; X company 2011; X company 2012; Y company 2010; Y company 2011; Y company 2012)

After your reply, I have another qns. Must I show the same graph in the appendix and the main body of the research report?

I have an ‘Appendix F: Ratio Analysis’ calculating the relevant ratio(with excel formula), but show no graphs because I create the graphs from those calculation , CUT AND PASTE into the main body of my research report.
