Recommended Supplementary Text Book for P5 (and P3)

Dear OpenTuition forumers,

The new examiner Alex Watt has tested in the recent June 2012 exam sitting, questions that are relevant to current industrial news. Some of us may have relative ease in forming the skeleton framework of our answers, but couldn’t get about writing more detailed specific points because of our lack of industrial knowledge and exposure.

This is more prevalent because BPP and Kaplan text books do not necessarily supplement us with case studies for our curious and inquisitive minds. These text books merely focus on providing you the syllabus that shall be examined, and less on making you understand and be more interested in the subject matter.

I may like to suggest to consider reading a supplementary text book titled ‘Exploring Corporate Strategy’ by Johnson, Scholes and Whittington. The book has been extensively referenced to create the sylllabus for our P3 and P5 exams.
