I’m looking to start studying F4 soon having passed F1-F3 with BPP using their Online Live Classroom.
I want to take more of a self-study approach with F4. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best study book to use?
I got the Study Texts from BPP with my packs from previous exams, but I never used them as all the information was laid out much better in the course notes, and the books went into too much detail. Are the Kaplan versions any better?
The course notes plus the question book were perfect for me in my last exam, but you cannot buy the course notes separately.
Thanks.
June 21, 2018 at 8:17 pm #459657Its been a while since I have used Kaplan. If you are looking for a more concise and on point option then Kaplan will probably suit you better than BPP.Don’t discount the notes and lectures on this site of course.Hope this helps.

Well, it all depends on 2 things :
1)how much time you have on your hand, meaning to say when do u plan to give your exam? And from the looks of it.. I can assume you are giving a single paper…2)What is your study method? Like to study matter as detailed or as concise…
Bpp books have really in depth details. ( Was initially using it though left it afterwards)
Kaplan has more graphics and the matter is briefly described.
I have less time in hand to prepare so I left the book and went straight to study from the lecture videos and notes.
But let me tell you… It is very important and essential to have a practice/revision kit and to do rigorous practise!!! I am using Bpp’s Practice&revision Kit currently.
So it all depends on the study approach you like to take and are comfortable with.
I hope this helps
