I passed completet ACCA in Ist attempt and in one and half years but unfortunately failed in P7. I completely attempted P7 paper and it was very good attempted. So, i want to know about rechecking procedure and fee of paper?
August 11, 2012 at 1:15 pm #104154Check up the details on the ACCA website. However, as a general comment, it’s MOST IMPROBABLE that your result will change. The re-check is restricted to making sure that all pages have been marked and that the marks have been correctly added. It DOES NOT involve a re-mark!
Spend your money if you wish …. but be prepared to remain disappointed …and poorer!

If that helps!

Hey Mike, i have attempted paper p7 two times and have not been successful. i sincerely do not know where i am going wrong. any advice for me?
September 19, 2012 at 10:21 am #104157What can I say? “Stop failing”???? “Stop going wrong”????
Have you tried giving some mock answers of yours to an independent person and asking then critically to appraise your efforts? It doesn’t have to be an accountant / auditor. All that is necessary is that they are educated and honest ( if necessary, brutally honest ). I presume that you don’t have a tutor and you’re not attending any courses.
Are you writing enough? 25 separate, markable, relevant points for a 25 mark question? Is your writing legible? Are you attempting 100% worth of marks in the exam – or are you missing off parts of questions? Is your time allocation correct and you are not maybe stealing from part c in order to complete part ab of a question? Are you really answering the question – paying GREAT attention to the verb?
Well, are you?
September 19, 2012 at 11:09 am #104158Hi Mike,
great insight into why intellengtly smart people fail.
i love your perspectives on the matter at hand, often we (students) are engrossed with a section of the exam at the expense of others. Personally i’ve experienced this when i ended up with 49% grade when i left a whole 25marks question undone. i ctually forgot a question exist called preparing financial statement in paper f7.
it is true that we answer our questions most of the time not necessarily the examiner questions. There is need for discline with time allocation. the place of covering/attempting the 100 marks questions cant be over-emphasised. there is need for coverage.
