Hi Mr John .
Receivable at 1 Jan 20×3 :10.000
Receivable at 31 Dec 20×3 : 9.000
Total receipt ( Including cash sale of 5000$) : 85.000
What was the sale revenue figure for 20×3 ?
My workings is 80.000+9000-10.000= 79.000
Book workings is 85.000+9000-10.000= 84.000
I don’t think the receipt is included cash sale here , so we should subtract that 5.000 .
So…. Is the book workings wrong ?
Sorry I think I found the answer . That should be CR sale + cash sale .
That’s why it’s 84.000 as they didn’t split it separately on the T- account . So I thought they are wrong ( to not substract the cash sale on the receivable ) . Thank you
Correct 🙂
