I registered in (let’s say) 2008, I have 10 years to complete ACCA exams, but in 2009 i was removed from ACCA register for up till now (2012). Now I re-register, do I have 10 years again? Or do i have 9 or 6 years to complete the exams?
Is there any info on ACCA website regarding this?

Hi, all i’ve done same. I registered first time in 2009 and re-registered in 2012… But the 10 years count down is from first registration.. So i have till 2019 to complete ACCA…
January 1, 2013 at 6:48 pm #97665Hi, I did the same registered in 2008 but took first exam Dec 2012. I can only afford (financially and timewise) to sit one paper at each sitting. I am worried that by the time I pass all the fundamental exams and start the P papers I will have ran out of time to complete ACCA. This is really worrying me now because it will be a great dissappointment to have only 3-5 papers left and not be able to continue. Is there any point in carrying on, I have a total of 10 exams to sit still and although for many it’s doable to pass all first time round I very much doubt I will be able to….
Is it better to press ahead and complete up to the fundamental stage at least that will be better than nothing? I have no intention of becoming a FC or above….I just want to be really good up to that level.
I know generally it takes 3-4 years to complete but realistically that’s not going to happen for me.Any advise appreciated.
Thanks.January 4, 2013 at 3:40 pm #97666Here is my story friends,
I first registered as an MSER (I do not know whether you know what is MSER-Mature student entry route , which means students with no formal qualification can appear for two exams and to clear it in 2 years in order to be transferred to ACCA student register) student in 2001 and I appeared for both qualifying exams at the lat session of expiry of two years and passed. then I opted out and could not attempt for any exams till 2007. Then I came to know there was a sea change in the syllabus and those who registered in old syllabus would get 10 years from the date of 2007. I decided to productively utilize this opportunity and re-registered with ACCA in 2008, and appeared the last exams on skill level in Dec-12. and planning to complete it by Dec-13. I am full time working professional in a very senior position, but I find time to study as my determination to clear the exams taking me forward. There is no excuse to our own failures, I believe time will not wait for us, if there is an opportunity I suggest pounce on it, you can only win if your determination is stong.
