The times taken to produce each of the first 4 batches of a new product were as follows:

1 100mins
2 70mins
3 59mins
4 55mins
WHAT WAS THE RATE OF LEARNING CLOSEST TO? (1 d.p)
The ANSWER is 84.3%
I cannot understand how in his workings he did r to the power of 2.
In my opinion it is r to the power of 3.
Please help.
To make 4 units, we need to double twice.
1 doubles to 2, 2 doubles to 4 – so doubling twice. Therefore it is r to the power 2.
