Hey what kinda help do you need?

Roughly speaking, for job costing, treat each job separately.

For batch costing, make sure you can identify between the variable and fixed costs in a single batch. This helps you when, in the question, you havta make a new batch of a different number of units. Obviously the fixed cost will remain same while da variable cost differs according to the new no. of units in the new batch.

Attempt some questions to find out what you’re having issues with, then go thru ur notes or book again. Retry. Or simply ask anyone here.

    Anything else?

Job costing: each job is unique and you can accumulate specific costs for that job.

Batch costing: a batch of identical items is made. Accumulate the cost of the batch and divide by the number of units made to get the cost per unit.

Process costing: production is continuous so there are no batches. You can work out the costs for, say, a week and match those with the units made in the week. It can be complicated because there are likely to be some units at the end of the period which are only partly complete when the period ends.
