Hello Mr Moffat,
The answer of this Sleepon question states that the project duration is the amount of time a project takes to recover half of the present value of the project. Would you please help me to understand why it is just a half?

It is actually only approximately half. You cannot be asked to explain why in the exam, and to explain it would take far too long (and be too mathematical 🙂 )
