Example question:

A gave B a lift. B did not put on seat belt. A had an accident that caused injury to B.

Is this a contributory negligence or non violenti non fit injuria.

I would have thought that it was contributory negligence

B could hardly be classed as a volunteer to be involved in an accident

“Thanks for offering me a lift – and, if you are planning on having an accident, I want to be involved”
