    Hello!

There is inquiry in the question of dec 2015(QTS group)
The question is about the organisational structure that should be identified as the element of culturual web.
The A2k sturcture is quite complex to me
In the context of high power, it assures me to categorise as entrepreneurial structure
However the structure has like sales, marketing director and so on.
    So this is fuctional structure
But after question said that a number of contracted trainers who are self employed and who undertake training for A2k on ad hoc basis.

So in conclusion, i made saying that
    It is matrix structure

    But it was machine bureaucracy
As product delivered in consistent way.

I could understand the just previous sentence. However i could not understand some points that make me think of matrix structure.

I hope to know clear answer from the lecturer.
    Thanks so much always

    Regards,
    Kate

Sub-contracting does not create a matrix structure. For a matrix structure think of a number of project teams, each working on their own project but having a mix of talent.

As said in the answer, if the product being delivered is consistent/the same then machine bureaucracy tends to be the configuration (think mass production/delivery).

I think you have got mixed up between terminology. Functional/matrix/power/divisional is one set of organisational descriptions; machine bureaucracy/professional bureaucracy/entrepreneurial are Mintzbergs’s terms.
