Dear tutor and other candidates,
In the Dec 12 Lily Question. I have a concern about the related answer. The question says the when the team counts inventory, they will be give count sheets. Also “the count sheets are sequentially numbered, and the product codes and descriptions are printed on there but no quantities”…How can no quantities printed on there not be a deficiency? I feel that quantities are needed so the counters can compare the quantities recorded in inventory ledger and actual quantities, and that’s important. But the answer doesn’t have that. Can you give me your opinion? Thanks.
If quantities were there, counters might not count properly. They might simply claim to have counted what was supposed to be there. They might even occasionally +/- by 1 to make the results less perfect but more realistic.
After the counts have been completed, someone else should compare counted quantities with book quantities.
