I want to know the overhead absorption rate that is calculated by dividing budgeted overhead with budgeted activity………is it based on the budget that we prepare at the start or its based on the flexed budget.

It is based on the original budget.

I do suggest that you watch my free lectures – they are a complete free course for Paper F2 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
