one of a book give examples of data as total production, total wages , avg. wage rate
and give examples of information as production has increased from previous year by 5000 units etc,.

is it because tough the total wages rate, avg wage, total production are generated through some processing but its not that useful to the managers for decision making comparing to the examples given for information . Am i right

What you have written in your first post is correct.

With regard to the second post, managers are likely to look at all sorts of information when making a decision.
