Is the cash basis of assessment for property income used for individuals only or is it for both individuals and businesses
The difference is between individuals who are subject to income tax and where the cash basis applies – and companies who are subject to corporation tax and the cash basis does NOT apply. “Businesses” may be either incorporated where the company is subject to corporation tax or unincorporated where the individual owner is subject to income tax
