In case of gift aid payments and personal pension contributions, will the higher rate band limit be extended if a person is a higher rate tax payer or will it only be extended if a person is an additional rate tax payer

The extension of the higher rate band is only an issue if the taxpayer is an additional rate taxpayer, or would have been an additional rate taxpayer if not for the extension of the higher rate band
