In the video solution uploaded, in the ‘creche’ part , why did the tutor not consider the number of hours which were 8 hours between 9 am to 5 pm, the charge per child was 4 per hour and the variable cost was also $0.50 per hour.
The 8 hours are not relevant because the question says in the first paragraph that gym users pay for 1 hour in the gym.
The creche is for people using the gym and given that they only spend one hour in the gym they will therefore only use the creche for one hour as well.
The only relevance of the 9 am to 5 pm is that we need to know how many people are using the gym for one hour within those times, and therefore how many of them will use the creche for one hour.
