Renner belongs to a private medical scheme and the company paid the required premium of £270 (including £50 for his
family),
hello sir, I was just wondering why this figure is not a exempt benefit.
from reading the lectures notes I would have assumed it was an exempt benefit:
“Annual exemption of £500 per employee where employer pays for medical treatment to assist the employee in returning
to work after a period of absence due to ill health or injury2
Look at what you have quoted there – this is simply an annual private health insurance premium – it is nothing to do with the very specific exemption of returning to work after illness or injury.
For that exemption to be applicable you would need to be given that very specific scenario
oh i see
thank you!
