Working 1 labour
They say y=axb where a is the cost of the first batch
How is this possible when a is the hours taken for first batch not the cost
Bpp workings show
5×18=90
90×9999^b
My workings
5×9999b
If you enter ‘a’ as hours, then the answer will be in hours (and then you need to multiply by $5 if you want the cost).
If you enter ‘a’ as $’s then the answer will be in $’s (and you then obviously do not need to multiply by $5 to get the cost).
Either way is fine and gives the same result.
Although the BPP answer is correct it is not typed nicely. For 1000 unit is should be 90 x 1000^b, and for 999 units it should be 90 x 999^b. By all means use 5 instead of 90 but then you need to multiply your answer by $10 to get the cost.
(you have typed 9999 which I assume is just your typing error)
Thank you sir
And yes it is a typing error
You are welcome 🙂
