Hi, how can we use the spot rate $/€ 1.1585 in the currency futures to calculate the base when the future prices are given in €/$ 0.8656?

You need to change the quote to the other way round by taking the reciprocal.
$/€ 1.1585 is the same as €/$ 1/1.1585 which is €/$ 0.8632
