Dear Sir,
I have failed Paper P3 on several occasions and I think due to poor exam technique and poor time mgt. I got 44 in my last sitting even though I did not attempt the third Qs and missed some part Qs for the other 2. I basically attempted around 65% of the paper.
I am now planning to Ans Qs1 as follows:
10 mins – skim read (Qs requirements & scenario)
35 mins – calculations & analysis
1 hr – Answering (pen to paper)
Any advise please.
Thanks
and any tips on attempting the optional Qs…
I think the 35 mins calculations and analysis is quite long. Remain flexible and make sure you devote enough time to writing – that’s what you will be marked on.
Above all, move on after 1 1/2 hours. You will almost certainly not pass if you leave out a question.
As for the other questions. Reading and thinking: max 15 minutes. Again be ruthless and move on after the rime is up for each section.
Good luck!
Thanks very much…I will definitely stick to the time allocation this time
